Coronavirus disease (COVID - 19) is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new virus, COVID - 19. Symptoms range mild to moderate respiratory illness and take 2-14 days after exposure to develop. Those with a weakened immune system and older people with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, diabetes and cancer are more likely to develop a critical illness. There is no current vaccine or treatment for COVID - 19 disease.
The optimum method to prevent and slow down the spread is by maintaining a social distance with each other. So proper cough etiquette, social distancing and hand hygiene have key roles in prevention and spread of disease.
However, many ongoing clinical trials are evaluating potential treatments. World Health Organization(WHO) will provide updated information about the clinical finding of COVID-19 as soon as possible.
